About the Division (STEM)

Established in 2005, STEM is a non-profit association of technology transfer professionals dedicated to nurturing professional development, networking, and best practices promulgation for successful technology transfer. We connect professionals across the globe and facilitate their growth through ATTP-accredited courses and community engagement.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Manager to lead our professional development initiatives and community engagement programs. This role will be crucial in advancing STEM's mission of nurturing technology transfer professionals through ATTP-accredited courses, community building, and networking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Development Program Management

• Coordinate and manage ATTP-accredited professional courses for both beginners and advanced technology transfer professionals
• Track and maintain records of course credits that facilitate RTTP applications
• Develop and update course content in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Evaluate and enhance course effectiveness through participant feedback
• Ensure compliance with ATTP accreditation requirements

Community Engagement & Networking

• Facilitate STEM Communities' interaction between members, peers, and mentors
• Organize and manage networking events that foster industry-research connections
• Create opportunities for members to share and implement best practices
• Develop and maintain engagement programs that connect technology transfer professionals globally
• Support members in their RTTP application process

Outreach and Communications Management

• Develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives to promote STEM's mission and activities

• Create and manage content for multiple communication channels (newsletter, social media, website)

• Establish partnerships, organize and participate in outreach events at:

o Universities and research institutions

o Technology transfer offices

o Industry associations

o Government agencies

o Innovation ecosystems

o International technology transfer networks

• Lead awareness campaigns about technology transfer profession and STEM's role

• Develop promotional materials and success stories highlighting member achievements

• Coordinate with regional representatives to ensure global outreach effectiveness

• Monitor and analyze outreach metrics and impact

Membership Development

• Manage and grow STEM's global membership base
• Develop strategies to enhance member benefits and engagement
• Coordinate with local and global technology transfer communities
• Monitor and report on membership metrics and satisfaction
• Implement member retention and growth initiatives

Qualification Required:

Graduate / Masters degree in Technology Management, Business Administration, Science, or related field

• 4+ years of experience in incubation management, technology transfer or intellectual property management
• Good knowledge in MS Office with proficiency in relevant research.
• Demonstrated experience in professional development program management
• Understanding of technology transfer office (TTO) operations
• Knowledge of digital marketing and social media management Preferred
• Experience with professional association management
• Experience in technology transfer
• Track record of building professional communities
• Experience with online learning management systems, strategic communications and outreach programs.
