This role demands excellent hands-on experience with leading monitoring tools and technologies. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions. Excellent experience on writing scripts, automation tools, and integrations to enhance observability and incident response capabilities. Work with popular monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, ELK, AppDynamics ) to ensure complete visibility of infrastructure and application health. Have good understanding of monitoring offered by native monitoring tools with cloud service providers. (GCP monitoring suite, AWS Watchdog, Azure Monitor etc.) Exposure to Logging, Tracing, Metrics, and Governance (LTGM) tools to enhance troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities and understanding on MELT (Metrics, Events, Logs, and Traces (MELT) , and how to use these data sources to improve service reliability. Ability to create and transform monitoring data in dashboards and reports using APM tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic) to monitor application performance and provide insights to stakeholders. Understanding on other DevOps and SRE functions and processes to support the overall engagement while assisting in triaging and investigating incidents to minimize downtime and ensure quick recovery. As-Is assessment from SRE maturity standpoint and set-up the SRE practice. SRE tool comparison, selection and assessment experience. Write basic automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline operations, improve monitoring efficiency, and ensure consistent reliability practices. Continuously learn and apply new tools, technologies, and techniques to improve the team’s ability to monitor, alert, and diagnose issues. Produce and adopt reusable accelerators and documentation on monitoring configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures. At least one Cloud service provider experience with monitoring capabilities and market monitoring product leaders. Skills Strong experience in SRE practice, day to day SRE deliverables, scripting, understanding on SRE functions and outcomes. Any cloud certification or monitoring expertise. 7-12 years of experience in the IT industry Minimum 3-4 years of experience in SRE practice using any monitoring tool in any domain Good knowledge and ability to leverage the monitoring tools and quickly learn / transform the skill in new introduced tools. Good understanding in cloud and on prim technologies, Terraform scripts, SaaS,PaaS,IaaS. Ability to articulate complex technical matters to non-technical individuals, both within the client and Capgemini.
