Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Government Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and acquire new business opportunities in Central Govt, State Govt, PSUs, ICDS, Municipal Corporations, Education Departments, Home Ministry, Defence, and Public Projects.
  • Leverage existing contacts with government officials and procurement teams to create a robust sales pipeline.
  • Drive end-to-end sales from lead generation to tender participation, negotiation, and order closure.

GeM Portal Management

  • Handle complete operations on GeM 4.0 / 5.0 including:

o Product listing & catalog management

o Bid participation & bid response filing

o Tracking tenders, RA (Reverse Auction), and L1 negotiations

o BOQ compliance & documentation

o Price updates, policy updates, and SLA adherence

  • Ensure 100% compliance with GeM rules, OEM authorisation norms, and category specifications.

Tendering & Documentation

  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for government bids.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (finance, operations, legal, logistics) for documentation, EMD, PBG, sample submissions, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date government sales documentation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with procurement heads, department buyers, and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups for PO issuance, delivery, installation, and payment clearance.

Revenue & Target Achievement

  • Take full ownership of sales targets.
  • Manage region-wise/department-wise performance and report weekly updates.
  • Identify new product opportunities and demand trends in government procurement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience with the GeM Portal (bids, tenders, RA, listing, OEM approvals).
  • Strong network with senior government procurement officials.
  • Experience in government tendering, PSU sales, e-procurement systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial terms like EMD, PBG, LD, SLA, RA, QC, Inspection Reports, DOH, Delivery Milestones.
  • Ability to prepare and present government proposals & product presentations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in Electronics, IT, Appliances, Telecom, or similar hardware categories.
  • Prior experience selling to ICDS, SMC, Smart City, Education, Police, Health, Defence, PSU banks, etc.
  • Candidates who have previously worked with OEMs or authorised partners in government business.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary + performance-based incentives.
  • Additional travel allowance for government visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Expected Start Date: 01/12/2025
