As we continue to expand our infrastructure and client base, we are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator (L2) to strengthen our operations and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our systems and services.

Position Overview

The Linux System Administrator – L2 will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux-based servers and systems. This role requires hands-on experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, security hardening, and automation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a data center or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL, Debian) in production and staging environments.
Perform routine system administration tasks — including patch management, performance tuning, and backups.
Monitor server health and ensure high availability and optimal performance of infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues at L2 level.
Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewall rules, SELinux configurations, and access controls.
Collaborate with L1 and L3 teams for escalations, deployments, and issue resolution.
Manage web hosting platforms, mail servers, DNS, FTP, and related services.
Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational reports.
Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools.
Support clients with technical requests and provide timely resolution to system issues.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in Linux system administration (preferably in a data center or hosting environment).
Proficient in managing and troubleshooting RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian servers.
Strong understanding of LAMP/LEMP stacks, virtualization (KVM, VMware, Proxmox), and container technologies (Docker).
Good knowledge of networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls.
Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OpenStack) is an added advantage.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
