Job Title: FinOps SME Location: TechM HYD HIC SEZT1 Years of Experience: 5 7 Years Job Summary We are seeking a Cloud Cost Optimization Release Engineer to serve as the primary point of contact for tracking cloud costs across various projects within the Customer Landscape. This role involves coordinating cloud optimization activities across different projects, planning releases, and executing plans effectively. The engineer will be responsible for tracking cloud costs, action items, and pending activities, while ensuring regular updates to senior stakeholders and following up with dependent teams to close open activities. Responsibilities Track cloud optimization projects across various initiatives. Proactively connect with stakeholders to monitor open items. Provide regular updates to management on the status of activities. Establish a frequent cadence with local and global teams (project managers, technical teams, senior stakeholders) to manage expectations and customization requests. Collaborate with business and engineering teams to coordinate dependencies and open activities. Work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Expertise in invoice repricing based on project specific consumption. Demonstrate proficiency in cloud operations, monitoring, cloud analytics, and cost optimization solutions. Mandatory Skills Minimum 5+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps Management and/or Project Management. Excellent skills in tracking activities and following up with teams to complete tasks. Experience in budget alerts and anomaly detection for price change notifications. Involvement in migration activities from on premise to cloud, addressing instance and network design during the architecture phase. Strong dependency management skills and ability to follow up with stakeholders. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure, AWS). Preferred Skills Strong technical background. FinOps background or certification. Experience with FinOps tools such as Cloudcheckr. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to reaching out regarding dependencies and open items, ensuring timely closure. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently while maintaining a focus on detail and accuracy.
