Sr. Software Engineer QA (Automation)

Role Description

• Collaborate with the QA team under the guidance of the SQA Manager or Supervisor to evaluate and test software applications across various business domains within Arthrex.
• Apply test automation methodologies, business process understanding, and application knowledge to design robust test strategies and plans.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing, ensuring reusability and scalability of test assets.
• Automate test cases using C#, RestSharp and Selenium, progressively replacing manual testing efforts with reliable automation coverage.
• Ensure comprehensive testing of security, performance, and functional aspects of software modules.
• Document test results, logs, and identified defects using test management tools
• Support the analysis of quality metrics such as test coverage, automation rate, execution progress, defect trends, and test efficiency.
• Actively participate in design and requirements review meetings to influence testability and automation scope early in the development cycle.
• Adhere to and contribute to the continuous improvement of SQA standards, processes, and best practices.
  

Skill Requirements

PRIMARY SKILLS (MUST HAVE SKILLS):

• Working experience of performing UI, Functional, and/or Regression testing of packaged and/or custom-developed enterprise and web applications
• Strong Hands-on experience of test automation using C# / Java programming language
• Experience of automation testing using tools like Selenium, Cucumber etc.
• Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman/JMeter/GraphQL etc.
• Knowledge of Xray, Zephyr Scale or equivalent test management tool
• Exposure to any public cloud system (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.)
• Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Confluence etc.
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
  

SECONDARY SKILLS: (GOOD TO HAVE)

• Experience of iOS mobile automation
• Understanding of client-server architecture and relational databases.
• Background in the US Healthcare industry and knowledge of Dicom, HL7 standards.
• Exposure to performance and security testing.
• Experience with setting up test environments.
  

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a premier technology institute
