Sr Project Engineer I

Role Overview: As a member of the team at AspenTech, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of SCADA/EMS/GMS/ADMS projects using the monarch platform. This includes planning, designing, integrating, testing, training, and commissioning at site. It is preferred that you have a good understanding of utility use-cases such as Electricity, Gas, Water, and Renewables. Key Responsibilities: - Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems. - Provide technical sales support for real-time control systems, including sales presentations and product demonstrations. - Evaluate contract specifications, define project requirements through customer communication, and communicate these requirements to other departments as necessary. - Perform hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing for projects. - Customize system, hardware, and network configuration based on customer requirements. - Provide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty. - Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related field. - 5 to 8 years of experience with a strong technical background in automation and computers, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. - Experience in power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems. - Experience in software programming and scripting (Python, C/C++) is good to have.
