Sr. Production Engineer

Sheet Metal Engineer Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and develop sheet metal components and systems.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform material selection and cost analysis for projects.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize designs.
• Conduct stress and structural analysis to ensure product integrity.
• Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sheet metal manufacturing.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and production staff.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in sheet metal engineering and technology.

Sheet Metal Engineer Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Knowledge of materials science and metallurgy.
• Familiarity with CNC machining and laser cutting technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Certification in welding or sheet metal work is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of successful project completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
