Sr. Merchandiser

We are seeking a skilled Textile Merchandiser to manage product development, sampling, production, and client communication. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of textile fabrics, printing, weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes and must ensure smooth execution of buyer orders from concept to shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a link between buyers/customers and the production team.
• Understand buyer requirements and translate them into samples, product developments, and production plans.
• Source and develop fabrics, trims, and accessories according to design and cost requirements.
• Coordinate with weaving, dyeing, printing, and stitching units to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality, cost, and lead time targets.
• Prepare and share T&A (Time & Action) calendars and follow up with stakeholders.
• Maintain close communication with international and domestic buyers for updates, approvals, and shipments.
• Handle price negotiations, order confirmations, and vendor management.
• Conduct quality checks at various stages of production.
• Keep updated with market trends, new fabrics, and printing/finishing innovations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Textiles, Fashion Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in textile merchandising (home textiles/apparel/fabrics).
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, yarns, block printing, dyeing, and embroidery.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, or merchandising software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
