Summary:
Senior Manager will lead the FCSS operations team to ensure smooth functioning, performance optimization, and timely resolution of issues within the Foreign Currency Settlement System. The role involves maintaining and enhancing FCSS applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing process improvements for operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
Monitoring system performance, incident management, and escalation handling. Understanding application architecture and technical/functional specifications. Managing and mentoring the operations team to achieve SLA adherence and operational KPIs. Driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring robust integration with enterprise systems.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in payment systems or settlement platforms.
Strong understanding of end-to-end payment processing: initiation, routing, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation. Hands-on or conceptual knowledge of SWIFT and ISO 20022 standards. Experience with API-based integration, secure communication frameworks, and IBM MQ messaging.
Working knowledge of Linux, Java, and database systems (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Experience in client/participant interaction, issue triage, escalation, and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with product security reviews, patch management, and system hardening. Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence.
Knowledge:

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with global payment and settlement standards, including SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 messaging formats. Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to monitor system health, resolve incidents, and provide guidance. Implement and track security updates, product patches, and system hardening measures. Oversee API integrations and ensure robust communication with enterprise systems. Collaborate with infrastructure and middleware teams to maintain IBM MQ performance and reliability. Conduct data validation, analysis, and audit trail verification using SQL (PostgreSQL). Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives. Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and information security requirements. Lead cross-functional teams and provide mentoring, guidance, and escalation management. Proactively identify operational and technical risks and implement mitigation strategies. Maintain readiness for internal and external audits, including regulatory compliance reviews.
