We are hiring Mechanical Engineer with more than 3 years of experience, for the Ahmedabad, India office to design HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for different projects. The candidate will be responsible for designing and managing engineering projects of different sizes and complexity throughout the life cycle of the project. Responsibilities also include coordinating with other disciplines such as architectural, structural & electrical. Designs will include calculations, analysis, specifications, and drawings normally required in the construction industry in the United States. Job Location: Ahmedabad (Siddhivinayak Towers, Makarba) Shift Timings: Morning (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) or Evening (06:00 PM to 03:00 AM) Monday to Friday Work from office only Responsibilities: Design HVAC/Plumbing system, detailed construction document drawing set for US Projects. Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, and process to develop designs. Design of central plants utilizing chillers, boilers & cooling tower, constant and variable flow pumping systems, constant and variable flow air handling units, temperature control & energy management systems, piping systems, ductwork systems, variable air volume terminal units, ground source heat pump systems, water chemical treatment systems, packaged chillers, packaged roof top A/C units, and split direct expansion A/C unit systems. Perform Internal plumbing system including domestic cold & hot water supply, soil, waste & venting, rainwater down takes & disposal systems based on rainfall intensity, basement drainage, subsoil drainage etc. Relevant design calculations as per standards & applicable code. Survey existing systems for documentation and condition assessment. Review project files for compliance with standards/protocols. Review Manufacturer’s Drawings for Conformance to Project Needs. Develop One Line, Protection One Line Diagrams and Construction Documents. Apply Applicable Local Codes and Standards to Project Designs. Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work as an individual contributor or in a team setting. Coordinate and monitor shop drawings submission schedule. Making sure quality standards and checklists are followed for every project.
