We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior HVAC Research Engineer

to join our innovation team focused on designing and optimizing next-generation heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in

thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, simulation, and predictive analytics

, combined with hands-on experience in

IoT integration, Python programming, and data analysis

.In this role, you will lead research initiatives aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, system performance, and predictive maintenance capabilities of HVAC systems. You will collaborate closely with R&D, IoT, and analytics teams to develop

simulation models, optimization algorithms, and predictive models

for real-time HVAC monitoring and control.

Key Responsibilities

  • HVAC Research & Design: Lead the design and research of advanced HVAC systems, leveraging thermodynamic principles, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics for optimized performance.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Develop computational models, simulations, and algorithms to predict HVAC system behavior under various environmental conditions.
  • Data Analytics & Predictive Maintenance: Implement analytics and predictive models using historical and real-time data to forecast system performance, detect anomalies, and prevent failures.
  • IoT Integration: Collaborate with IoT engineers to integrate sensors, controllers, and cloud platforms for real-time monitoring and control of HVAC systems.
  • Software Development: Utilize Python, SQL, and other programming tools to analyze data, build algorithms, and implement automation solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze energy consumption, airflow, and thermal efficiency, providing actionable recommendations for system improvement.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in HVAC systems, building energy efficiency, and smart building solutions.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work cross-functionally with product development, R&D, and data science teams to translate research insights into scalable solutions. Prepare detailed technical reports, research papers, and presentations.
  • Simulation Tools: Utilize CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), energy modeling, and other simulation platforms to evaluate system designs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Energy Systems, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC research, simulation, or design engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and HVAC system design.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, data analytics, and algorithm development.
  • Hands-on experience with IoT integration, sensor data collection, and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation tools for HVAC performance evaluation.
  • Ability to develop optimization algorithms and predictive models for real-world applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to present technical findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
