Sr. HVAC & Plumbing Engineer

Education: Diploma/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Experience: 10 - 12 years in Design of HVAC and Plumbing Systems of Industrial Buildings, must have UAE Consultancy Experience

Roles and Responsibilities

·        Lead all HVAC and Plumbing design activities, ensuring designs and deliverables comply with project requirements, local authority regulations and international standards.

·        Cooling Load calculations, Ventilation calculations, Pressurization calculations

·        Design Chilled Water System, Chiller Plant, Smoke Management System

·        Carry out Pump head calculation, ESP Calculation, Cooling Load Calculations, Duct Heater Sizing, Fan Sizing, Pump sizing

·        Carry out water supply demand calculations, Drainage pipe sizing, Drainage flow calculations

·        Design Plumbing system, Central Hot Water System

·        Develop, review technical documents, including system design, specifications, and drawings

·        Develop solutions, design options, techno commercial comparisons

·        Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, oversee project teams.

·        Carry out technical analyses and feasibility studies

·        Prepare detailed design, general arrangement layouts, sections, piping isometrics

·        Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents ensuring compliance with technical requirements.

·        Prepare of Design Reports, Basis of Design etc.

·        Review shop drawings, review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.

·        Review and resolve technical queries (TQ) and manage changes

·        Ensure coordination with other project components and disciplines.

·        Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, BIM Modelers, and Engineers

Skills:

• Experience in Industrial building design
• Hands on experience in use of Local and International standards in calculations (ASHRAE, UPC, IPC, ASPE etc.)
• Proficient in HAP software, ASHRAE Duct fitting Data base usage

Good knowledge of Authority submission requirements – Dubai Municipality, Estidama, Trakhees, Greed Building etc.
