Role Description And Purpose

The job holder provides procurement support to businessteams that are directly supporting our APAC customers. The job holder isexpected to help ensure our supply chains are effective and responsive suchthat they help us exceed the expectations of our customers and help us win andretain business.

Purpose - Broad objective of the role

Responsibilities

Work with pre-sales/ bid manager team onunderstanding the scope of bids/ deals and map appropriate vendorconsidering capability and commercial feasibilityCreate and develop relationships with keysuppliers and stakeholdersLead commercial negotiations with suppliersfor goods and services ensure the best terms possible are obtained to wincustomer deals within a stringent timelineEnsure purchases are executed in a timelymanner and in accordance with the company’s policies.Track and report key functional metrics toreduce expenses and improve effectivenessCollaborate with key persons including demand& delivery manager to ensure clarity of the specifications andSLAsDevelop risk management plans for keycategory areas to ensure security of supplySeek out supply chain advantages to help thebusiness improve its ability to compete and win

Job Requirements

Experience of working in a similar roleideally within a telecom environment4-6 years procurement experience at leasthalf of which should be in Telecom, IT companies.BTech / MBA qualification is mustExperience of working in a pre-salesenvironment is mustStrong negotiation and stakeholder management

Skills

Good knowledge of sourcing, procurement andsupplier managementExperience of leading contract negotiationsfor network, IT (including software licenses)Well organized and self-motivated individualcapable of working with a high degree of autonomyAbility to work under time pressure and withsome amount of ambiguityPossess analytical skills to determine thebest deals for the company and have to evaluate the many pros and cons ofeach supplier based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors

understanding of Enterprise Business in Telecom Industry- 4 to 5 years

versed in Telecom networks and IT procurement

understanding of Purchasing & Negotiating Network, UCaaS, Security and
Hosting Services contract

understanding of Cost (Should be able to derive cost) and spend management

To have- Network background or experience
