Reports To: Manager – Operations & Client Servicing

Location: Mumbai

Experience Required: 3-4 years in insurance sector.

Role Overview: The Sr. Executive – Insurance Operations plays a key role in ensuring smooth policy servicing, documentation and coordination between clients, insurers and internal teams. This role supports the full policy cycle, from proposal to issuance, endorsement and renewal, while maintaining accuracy, compliance and superior customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Policy Administration (30%)

  • Handle end-to-end operations for new business, renewals and endorsements.
  • Ensure timely and error-free policy issuance and documentation.
  • Coordinate with insurers for policy queries, corrections and pending cases.

2. Data & Documentation (30%)

  • Maintain accurate and updated records in the internal CRM/operations system.
  • Conduct KYC checks, upload documents and ensure compliance with IRDAI norms.
  • Prepare and update MIS reports for internal tracking and management reviews.

3. Client & Partner Coordination (20%)

  • Liaise with Relationship Managers for client onboarding and renewals.
  • Communicate courteously and clearly with clients on operational matters.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance and Compliance.

4. Quality & Compliance (15%)

  • Ensure all transactions comply with IRDAI, AML and internal policies.
  • Identify and flag any process gaps or non-compliance areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all client interactions.

5. Claims Support (5%)

  • Assist in claim intimation, documentation and insurer coordination.
  • Track claim status and update clients regularly.
  • Escalate delays or discrepancies to the Claims Head promptly.

Desired Skills & Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and policy servicing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and data-handling skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English and Hindi.
  • Team player with a proactive, disciplined work ethic.

Education Qualification

  • Graduate in Commerce / Business Administration / Insurance or equivalent.
  • Certification in Insurance will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
