About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic Events Curator to help ideate, design, plan and execute events and celebrations for our clients. An experienced events professional, you will be well-versed in managing demanding clients and stakeholders, while also keeping a tight rein on timelines, suppliers and budget management. You will have a passion for big ideas and creative executions, along with a keen understanding that overall success often lies in paying attention to the small details. You will be accountable for ensuring that event and celebration results meet or exceed client briefs and expectations, and manage overall planning aspects of the itinerary including but not limited to:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ideating, conceptualizing and developing itineraries, experiences, and services according to client requirements
  • Planning and executing small/large domestic/ international events (on the field or remotely)
  • Travelling for recce (if required & subject to client’s budget), inspect event venues & facilities to ensure that they conform to ATC’s standards.
  • Developing, maintaining and disseminating event master calendar and project files.
  • End-to-end management of events across a broad spectrum of scales, from a corporate retreat for 75, to a family & friends milestone birthday for 20, to intimate couple celebrations.
  • Ensuring budgets are agreed and set at the planning stage, and ensuring all events are delivered within budget.
  • Evaluating and selecting providers of services according to client’s needs.
  • Coordinating services for events, such as decor, audio-visual equipment, transportation, catering, favors and gifting, printing stationary and collateral, entertainment, special needs requirements, and other event needs.
  • Negotiating contracts with service providers and suppliers
  • Liaising with staff at a chosen event location(s) to coordinate and execute
  • Developing work breakdown structures, cost tracking, procurement and project plans, ensuring all stakeholders are clear on an event’s objectives and metrics for success.
  • Reviewing event invoices for accuracy
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders, as well as event partners and sponsors.
  • Organizing hotel rooming list with internal operations team
  • Monitoring event activities to ensure compliance with any restrictions and laws, satisfaction of guests, and troubleshoot any problems that arise
  • Hiring, training, and supervising volunteers and support staff required for events
  • Coordinating administrative details such as financial operations, dissemination of materials, and responses to inquiries
  • Conducting post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved
  • Ensuring events are delivered to a high standard, and in accordance with the department’s brand guidelines, goals and objectives.
  • Building and managing a network of suppliers across verticals including event designers, entertainment and DMCs.
  • Identifying new IPs and event formats that will work across our brands, and work with the CEO to bring your ideas to life.
  • Powering the continued innovation of our events & celebrations portfolio – an innate sense of creativity and a hunger for new executions is a must for this role.
  • Having your finger on the pulse – constantly identifying the next big thing across the industry, and using that knowledge to elevate and enhance ATC’s event offerings.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing assignments in the face of multiple duties
  • Good time-management skill is a necessary requirement
  • Support Development and Marketing functions as directed
  • Other duties as assigned


Must Haves

  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of a second language is an added advantage).
  • Degree, preferably in event management or related field
  • Evening and weekend work may be required
