Job Description

Warranty Claim Analysis

Review and validate incoming warranty claims from customers, dealers, or service centers.

Analyse failure modes using returned parts, failure data, and service reports.

Categorize claims by defect type, frequency, and cost to identify recurring issues.

One-page report readiness for customer signoff: Identification of defect phenomena with corrective and sustenance action.

Regular monitoring of the Warranty test jigs at customer end to ensure no impact in signoff

Coordinate with Plant ME for regular maintenance / upgradation of the test jigs placed at customer end

Root Cause Analysis & Problem Resolution

Conduct structured root cause analysis (RCA) for high-cost or recurring warranty failures.

Work closely with design, production, and supplier quality teams to implement corrective actions (CAPA).

Use tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, and FMEA to drive resolution.

Data Monitoring & Reporting

Track and report key warranty KPIs such as:

Warranty cost per unit

Failure rate by product/region

MTBF/MTTR (mean time between/failure to repair)

Top warranty issues

Identify trends and escalate critical issues to management.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain detailed records of warranty cases, analysis reports, and resolutions.

Ensure all warranty claim decisions align with company policy and product warranty terms.

Prepare documentation for audits, recalls, and regulatory compliance if required.

Preparation of monthly reports customer wise for MIS, Departmental review, Ops review, CEO review

Maintain Change management matrix monthly consolidation report customer wise and share to Customer Leads.

Continuous Improvement & Reliability Initiatives

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce warranty cost and improve field reliability.

Provide feedback to engineering for design improvements and product validation.

Contribute to lessons-learned databases and support DFMEA/validation updates.

Weekly line audits to verify the Warranty action sustenance.
