Job Description

Job Summary:


Part of R&D team - Electrical/Electronic Hardware. Candidate will be involved in research and development for off board AC and DC Chargers and would be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging and maintaining large and efficient embedded systems.


Key Responsibilities:


  • System Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of embedded systems, selecting appropriate components, and communication protocols to meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements
  • Hardware Development: Oversee the complete hardware development cycle, including schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, and integration of analog and digital components.
  • Testing & Debugging: Conduct bring-up & EDVT testing and debugging to ensure system functionality and performance, using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMM
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering skill development and career growth.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
  • Compliance & Certification: Co-ordination for meeting the standard compliances and EMI/EMC testing with external agencies


Skills/ Requirements:


  • Experience in design and development of embedded systems based on 32-bit microcontrollers for TI, NXP, Microchip, STM etc.
  • Familiar with communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, USB, RS-485, CAN, etc.
  • Hands-on technical experience in hardware design and development, schematic design, layout design / review, digital and analog electronics.
  • Deep understanding of hardware-software integrations and working.
  • Good to have understanding and experience of PCB design Software like Altium Designer, Cadence OrCad / Allegro, or other related software and multilayer PCB Desgin and PCB testing standards.
  • Enthusiastic about working in R&D and excited to learn more in order to develop EV chargers.
  • Good understanding & hands on measuring instruments DSO, Multimeter, Power supply, etc.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronic or related field
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
