Sr. Embedded Hardware Engineer

Position Title: Sr. Embedded Hardware Engineer Full-Time

Major Job Duties

ؠResponsible for designing embedded hardware products including architecture definition, detail design, and verification

ؠWork as a member (or lead) of a team on projects, integrating aspects of design work from other engineers (mechanical, electrical, and software) to complete design and development of new products

ؠDirect Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design resources in the documentation of the product by providing the necessary input for completion of specification sheets, part drawings, and assembly drawing

ؠResponsible for the leadership of department employees to include the overall direction, mentoring, and training if direct reports are assigned.

ؠStrong knowledge of hardware design principles, digital circuit design, and analog circuit design.

ؠProficiency in using hardware design and simulation tools, such as Altium software and FPGA development tools.

ؠProven success with end-to-end hardware development including schematic capture, layout, bring-up, testing, and debugging of high-density, high-speed PCBs

ؠCollaborate with other teams such as firmware, mechanical, and application for overall aspects of product design and development

ؠDesign implementation considering EMI/EMC compliance criteria, environmental conditions

ؠSolid understanding of microprocessors, microcontrollers, and other embedded systems.

ؠCreating and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and test plans.

ؠTroubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues and providing technical support to internal teams.

ؠStrong communication and organizational skills to manage relationships with external suppliers and contract manufacturers.

We are looking for people who have

ؠ4+ years of experience in the field of Hardware Designing

ؠBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering.

ؠExperience in Microcontroller, Microprocessor, and FPGA-based designs.

ؠExperience in high power circuit design such as BMS, DC-DC converter, Inverter

ؠKnowledge of protocols including RS232, RS485, SPI, USB, CAN, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, BLE

ؠExperience with RF, GPS, GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SD Card, camera, LCD, PCI interface

ؠExperience in EMI/EMC designs both at the circuit level and layout level.

ؠExperience with circuit analysis and design, CAD schematic tools (Altium Preferred), circuit simulation tools, and design evaluation

ؠThe system brings up in the lab requires HW, SW, and FW integration

ؠAbility to effectively communicate ideas and concepts, both written and verbally

ؠKnowledge of communication systems, including architectural tradeoffs and partitioning impacts

ؠExperience with RF and microwave measurement systems would be a plus

ؠTeam player with strong self-motivation and collaboration skills

ؠAbility to use standard lab equipment such as oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer

ؠAbility to lead the team

ؠAnalytical skills in resolving technical issues with product failures

ؠExperience with hardware debugging tools and equipment
