Sr. Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions, working closely with the engineering team. - Plan, design, and develop cloud-based applications. - Manage cloud environments following company security guidelines. - Deploy and debug cloud initiatives throughout the development lifecycle. - Educate teams on new cloud-based initiatives and provide necessary training. - Lead and develop best practices for the Cloud Engineer team. - Design web services in the cloud and set up geographically redundant services. - Orchestrate and automate cloud-based platforms. - Stay updated with industry trends and make recommendations for the company's growth. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or Engineering Graduate. - Certification as an Azure/AWS Solutions Architect (Added Advantage). - 5 years of software development experience using languages like Java, Python, C++, or Ruby. - Experience with SOA applications, cloud-based services, OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Docker, and Microsoft Azure. - 2 to 4 years of experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position. - Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC. - Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks. - Database experience with SQL, MySQL, and related data stores. - Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering. - Excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. - Interest in Cloud Engineering and its impact on business practices.
