Primary responsibility will be to open doors with Ministries, States, UTs, and their departmentsby reaching out with focus on WGDT, WF outcome. There can 3 types of scenariosas below: o Have relationships and engagements sustain and grow (incross-sell, up-sell spirit). o Have some traction, achieve breakthroughs with initiatives andprojects. o New Clients, begin with cold calling. to establish and nurture strategic relationships withsenior-level officers (highest levels in government @ Bureaucratic level) withinthe government, understand their challenges and opportunity areas which can be transformedby leveraging the emerging technologies propose innovative digital solutions that can have a substantialimpact on government services and citizens lives. manage the initiatives and projects undertaken in alignment withWGDT, WF purpose. identify and develop startups with niche and innovativesolutions in alignment with WGDT, WF purpose and government requirements. Engage with WF marketing team to continually position the workundertaken by the team to continue to enhance the PULL factor. Working with/ knowing emerging technologies and its use caseswould be desirable. Prior experience of working with government ecosystem would addto credentials. Reporting : Thisposition will report to the CEO of Wadhwani Government Digital Transformationunit of Wadhwani Foundation. Location : Delhi. Theposition may require travel within India to engage with government clients atboth central and state levels. Key Responsibilities : 1. Government Engagement : Engage with Senior Government Officials: Build and maintainstrong relationships with senior-level officers and decision-makers ingovernment departments, ministries, and agencies of Central and few States. Understand Government Pain Points: Conduct in-depth discussionsand needs assessments to identify pain points, challenges, and opportunitieswithin the governments operations and service delivery. 2. Opportunity Identification : Identify Digital Transformation Opportunities: Stay updated onemerging technologies and their applications. Proactively identify areas wheredigital transformation projects can enhance government services, improveefficiency, and benefit citizens. Analyze Data and Trends: Utilize data-driven insights andindustry trends to recommend and prioritize digital transformation initiatives. Analyse government plans: Go through the plan documents ofvarious departments to identify are priority areas/sectors and opportunities. 3. Solution Proposals : Develop Project Proposals: Collaborate with our CTO andtechnology team to conceptualize and develop project proposals that addressgovernment challenges and leverage emerging technologies. Present Solutions: Effectively communicate project proposals togovernment stakeholders, highlighting the potential impact and benefits. 4. Relationship Management : Nurture Client Relationships: Continuously engage withgovernment clients to build trust, provide updates, and ensure their needs aremet. Networking: Cultivate and expand your network within thegovernment ecosystem, including industry associations, partner organizations,and relevant forums. 5. Business Acumen : Business-Level Understanding of Technologies: Stay informedabout new and emerging technologies, their applications, and their relevance togovernment operations. Financial Acumen: Understand the financial aspects of projectproposals, including budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and return oninvestment. Qualifications andSkills : Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Business, PublicAdministration, Technology, etc.). A Masters degree is a plus. Proven experience (15+ years) working in a client-facing role,preferably in government consulting, technology solutions, or digitaltransformation. In-depth knowledge of government processes, policies, andoperations. Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT,blockchain, and their potential applications in the public sector. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with theability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a track record ofbuilding and maintaining relationships at senior levels. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, trends, andgovernment challenges to propose effective solutions. Proactive and self-motivated, with a results-oriented approach. Existing connections and relationships within the governmentsector are highly desirable.
