Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineer with 7 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Jenkins Scrum Java Rest API Jira and Maven. Experience in the Education domain is a plus. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the highest quality standards in our software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead the quality assurance efforts for various projects ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Oversee the implementation of automated testing frameworks using Jenkins to streamline the testing process.
Provide guidance and support to the development team in adopting Scrum methodologies for efficient project management.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Java-based applications.
Ensure the robustness and reliability of Rest API integrations through meticulous testing and validation.
Utilize Jira for tracking and managing defects ensuring timely resolution and closure.
Implement and maintain build automation scripts using Maven to enhance the CI/CD pipeline.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues early in the development cycle.
Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
Monitor and report on key quality metrics identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in quality engineering and software testing.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement encouraging team members to adopt new tools and techniques.
Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Possess a strong background in Jenkins with hands-on experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Demonstrate proficiency in Scrum methodologies with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Exhibit deep knowledge of Java programming with the ability to write and execute complex test cases.
Show expertise in testing and validating Rest API integrations ensuring seamless functionality.
Have extensive experience with Jira for defect tracking and project management.
Be skilled in using Maven for build automation and dependency management.
Experience in the Education domain is a nice to have providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
A proactive and self-motivated individual capable of driving quality initiatives independently.
