- Builds Agile Team capability across new ways of working.
- Leads on the adoption of agile (quarterly) prioritisation, development of roadmaps aligned to OKRs, and adherence to workflows across Capabilities, Epics, and Features
- Champions use of usability reviews, customer journey mapping, innovation and balancing of activity across delivery horizons – e.g., enabling innovation sprints.
- Supports a move towards efficient and effective DevSecOps development practices with incremental releases, identifying and resolving impediments to organisational-wide ways of working.
- Supports establishment and refinement of Value Stream / Sub-Value Stream ceremonies: PI planning; Inspect and Adapt; Scrum of Scrums; PO syncs, and Agile Team Ceremonies (Stand ups; Sprint Planning; Retros; and Demos).
- Coaching key roles on their responsibilities, advising leadership on forum cadence and meeting techniques, and defining inputs and artefacts.
- Supports the structuring of Agile Teams and Sub-Value Streams according to design patterns – advising on required roles to form effective cross-functional teams. Identifying low-velocity teams and identifying issue causes, highlighting solutions to Sub-Value Stream leadership
- Drives sharing of best practice through asset creation, and participation in cross-Value Stream Agile Forums to disseminate learnings.
- Maximises effectiveness of the Scrum Master population by facilitating coaching and training sessions, supporting community building, and ensuring effective on-boarding
- Provides guidance, technical expertise, and innovation across all aspects of areas of responsibility
- Ensures ongoing training and models to communicate and reinforce Agile concepts, including ongoing assessment and identification of areas of improvement for teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of products, services and underlying processes for their Sub-Value Stream and wider HSBC.
- Comprehensive knowledge on coaching methodologies and Agile ways of working
- Comprehensive knowledge and extended experience in providing decisions, technical expertise and innovation across all aspects of areas of responsibility and unlocking business agility.
