Team Overview


As an Sr Analyst at Luminar, you will be assisting with day-to-day accounting activities, preparing and reviewing financial records, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position provides an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting and grow within the finance function. Building relationships with other areas of the business, such as legal, tax, sales, treasury, and human resources, will be critical to your success in this role and in ensuring accurate reporting. This position will be part of a growing global finance reporting and technical accounting team.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for routine transactions by collaborating with other accounting personnel.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing activities by compiling supporting documentation for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  • Participate in the accounting team’s update, refinement and implementation of the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute analyses and recommendations of needed processes and internal control improvements.
  • Assist in the quarterly and year-end close process, ensuring timeliness and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Support audits by interacting with multiple teams within the Company and with the external auditors.
  • Participate in special projects, as needed.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of all information.


Minimum Qualifications and experience required

  • Active CA membership required.
  • 3-5 years corporate experience in Record to Report.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS & IND AS.
  • Knowledge of key accounting concepts such as prepaid recognition, bank reconciliation, intercompany transactions.
  • Ability to thoroughly and logically document accounting impact.
  • Extraordinary communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of consolidated financial statements, including the ability to articulate how certain transactions impact the financial statements in the period of initial recognition and subsequent periods.
  • Experience with automotive companies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
