Sr. Accountant

Job Description: Senior Accountant We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practical experience in a trading environment that includes both retail and wholesale operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our company's records. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Financial Records: Oversee and manage all bookkeeping activities. This includes maintaining accurate ledgers, processing invoices, and preparing financial statements to reflect both retail and wholesale transactions. Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. Ensure all entries are timely, accurate, and comply with company policies and accounting standards. Inventory Accounting: Work closely with the operations team to reconcile inventory counts and values. Be responsible for the accurate recording of costs of goods sold, returns, and other inventory-related transactions for both retail and wholesale divisions. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Provide insights into sales performance, cost analysis, and profitability for both retail and wholesale segments. Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Tax Compliance: Possess a foundational knowledge of tax laws and regulations relevant to a trading business. Assist in preparing data for tax filings and ensure compliance with all applicable tax requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a trading, retail, or wholesale business. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle). Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Basic knowledge of tax regulations and their application to business operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
