Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the school, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, timely reporting, and efficient management of budgets and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations including fee collection, payroll, vendor payments, and reimbursements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor and reconcile all school bank accounts.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and timely filing of returns.
Supervise fee management system and follow up on outstanding dues from parents/students.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping for all financial transactions.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Master’s or CA Inter preferred).
4–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the education sector or a similar organization.
Strong understanding of school accounting, fee management systems, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems).
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
