Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly. Implement backup and recovery solutions for critical databases. Manage security and access control for database environments. Assist in database design, architecture, and migration projects. Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations and processes. Collaborate with development teams for database integration and optimization. Provide user support and training for SQL Server tools and applications. Execute maintenance tasks such as index rebuilding and statistics updates. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues. Conduct regular database health checks and audits. Implement industry best practices for database management. Stay updated with the latest SQL Server technologies and trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 2+ years of experience in SQL Server support or administration. Strong understanding of database concepts and architecture. Proficient in T-SQL, performance tuning, and optimization techniques. Experience with SQL Server backup and recovery procedures. Familiarity with database security management. Knowledge of database replication and clustering. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.) preferred. Experience with SQL Server tools (SSMS, Profiler, etc.). Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Certifications (e.g., MCSA: SQL Server) are a plus.
