The SQL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database systems and complex SQL queries to support business operations, reporting, and analytics. This role involves working with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, performance, and accessibility across multiple systems.
Design, write, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
Develop and maintain relational databases and data models
Perform database tuning, performance monitoring, and optimization
Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations as needed
Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and business users to meet data needs
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all database systems
Document database structures, processes, and procedures
Assist in database upgrades, backups, and recovery processes
Analyze existing queries for performance improvements
Support data migration, integration, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Experience with stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization
Familiarity with database design and data normalization principles
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Informatica) is a plus
Understanding of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is beneficial
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
