Sports Venue Manager

We are urgently looking to hire a Venue Manager - Sports Venues to join our team in Chennai.

About the role -

Sports Venue Manager

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the sports venue, including scheduling, maintenance, staffing, and customer engagement
• Coordinate events, tournaments, and training programs with local and national partners
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of sports equipment and supplies
• Ensure health, safety, and facility compliance with local regulations
• Supervise and train staff to deliver outstanding service and support
• Monitor usage, track performance metrics, and report on facility operations
• Implement marketing strategies to increase footfall and community engagement
• Liaise with coaches, athletes, and sports organizations to build lasting partnerships

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in sports venue or facility management
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people management abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when required
• Passion for sports and a commitment to creating a high-quality athletic environment
• Familiarity with scheduling software, budgeting tools, and facility management systems

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior experience managing multi-sport venues or turf facilities
• Knowledge of local sports ecosystems in Chennai or Tamil Nadu
• Certification in First Aid or Facility Management is a plus
