Job Description

Job Overview: We are looking for a strategic and technically proficient Specification Manager – Sales to lead and manage project pre-specification, client engagement with consultants, and alignment of technical offerings with industry standards. This role bridges the gap between design intent and business acquisition by ensuring our products and solutions are well-positioned during the project planning/specification phase. This position is key to influencing consultant specifications, institutional projects, and design-build bids for long-term business wins.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with consultants, architects, and project specifiers to influence specifications at the design stage. • Promote Profile Solution’s data center offerings (containment systems, modular solutions) as preferred solutions in design documents. • Identify upcoming projects across India/APAC with long lead cycles and engage during planning/specification phase. • Ensure technical documentation, drawings, and product specifications are updated and aligned with industry codes and consultant expectations. • Participate in pre-sales technical presentations, design meetings, and workshops with consultants and major clients. • Monitor and track specified projects until they move into bid or execution stage. • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure technical material availability, product compliance, and design submittals. • Represent the company at industry forums, product demonstrations, and exhibitions to expand specification footprint. • Act as a subject matter expert for design teams and consultants on relevant standards and compliance.

Qualifications and Skills: Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical (B.E/ B.tech) • Added certifications in Data Center Infrastructure, Green Building, or CFD (preferred but not mandatory). Experience: • 5–8 years of experience in specification management, pre-sales technical roles, or consultant liaison roles. • Prior experience in Data Centers, HVAC, Infrastructure, Modular Construction, or EPC preferred.

Technical Skills: • Deep understanding of technical specification processes and project planning workflows. • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, design codes, and compliance documents. • Good knowledge of products used in data center environments (cooling, racks, containment, power distribution, etc.).

Additional Skills: • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • High influencing ability with consultants and design teams. • Strong strategic thinking and project tracking mindset. • Comfortable with technical presentations and client interactions at CXO or consultant level.
