Job Description

Role Overview: As a Specialist in Vendor Development (Battery and Motors) at our company located in Chennai, you will be accountable for sourcing cells, busbar, battery child parts, BMS, motor, MCU, and chargers. You will report to the Lead in the Vendor Development function. Key Responsibilities: - Bring 5 to 10 years of experience in Vendor Development for Battery and Motors, with a Bachelor's degree in EEE/ECE/Mechanical/Automobile/Production. - Demonstrate 5+ years of hands-on experience in EV Vendor Development Functions and mandatory experience in the Automotive industry. - Utilize experience in SAP, PLM, Powertrain, and e-mobility solutions, with a preference for knowledge in FUSA, DFMEA, PFMEA, EMI/EMC, and Automotive test standards like AIS, UL, ECER100, etc. - Apply technical skills in the development of cells, battery packs, chargers, motors, MCU, and transmission systems, including cell sourcing, price settlements, RM indexing, EV parts sourcing, vendor development, costing, negotiation, and price settlement. - Possess expertise in cost estimation for Battery Pack & Chargers, DC-DC Converters, Motors, MCU, Transmission systems, Battery Pack assembly/manufacturing, BMS assembly, hardware and software, and Chargers, Motor, and MCU. - Understand Battery engineering & BMS, drawings, and performance curves, E-Component, connectors & contactors knowledge, Supplier base on EV components, Market Trends, Domestic & Global govt policies, Competitive Benchmark data, Market Intelligence, Automotive standards/Testing related to Cells, Battery Packs, BMS, Thermals, Motor, Charger (On board/Off board), manufacturing and system processes (PPAP, APQP), and SAP MM & PLM user experience. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in EEE/ECE/Mechanical/Automobile/Production - 5 to 10 years of experience in Vendor Development for Battery and Motors - Technical skills in EV Vendor Development Functions, Automotive industry, SAP, PLM, Powertrain, and e-mobility solutions - Knowledge in FUSA, DFMEA, PFMEA, EMI/EMC, and Automotive test standards like AIS, UL, ECER100, etc.,
