Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically sound

Network Traffic Analyst

with expertise in firewall rule creation, network segmentation, and traffic analysis. The ideal candidate should be experienced in infrastructure management and firewall technologies and be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze network traffic to draft and implement firewall rules (e.g., Privileged Access, service-to-service traffic).
  • Manage firewall changes aligned with service modifications, evergreening, and interface additions.
  • Enable firewall rule enforcement during service maintenance windows.
  • Create rules for DR servers or unseen traffic patterns.
  • Identify global/local common services and define corresponding firewall rules.
  • Generate firewall reports and support ITSO/Delegates through reviews and walkthroughs.
  • Provide support to ITSO and delegate queries (calls/emails/chats) for accurate rule configuration.
  • Monitor and update rules for local common services.
  • Deploy Illumio VENs, analyze installation logs, and troubleshoot failures.
  • Define rules for inbound/outbound traffic and validate rules for dependent surrounding services.

Technical Skill Requirements

  • Mandatory:
    • MicroSegmentation: Illumio, Akamai Guardicore
    • Network Security Policy Management: Algosec, Tufin/Skybox
    • Proxy Technologies: Broadcom (Symantec/BlueCoat), Cisco Secure Web Appliance
    • VPNs: Cisco AnyConnect, FortiClient VPN, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, PulseSecure/Ivanti
    • WAF & DDoS: Akamai, Cloudflare, F5, Indusface/AppTrana, Radware
    • Firewalls: CheckPoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet
    • SSE: Zscaler (ZPA/ZIA), Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma, FortiSASE, Cisco Umbrella
    • NAC: Cisco ISE, ForeScout, HP Aruba
    • Additional: Architecture Assessment, Capacity Planning, Cost Benefit Analysis, Compliance Evaluation
  • Desirable:
    • Hands-on experience with Illumio platform.
    • Writing and managing firewall rules using scripting or automated tools.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management with Project Managers, ITSOs, and support teams.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and changing priorities.

Experience

  • Total IT Experience: 10+ years
  • Firewall/Network Implementation: 5+ years
