Job Description

To manage the spare parts operations of the dealership, ensuring optimal inventory levels, smooth availability of parts, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The Spare Parts Manager oversees procurement, storage, sales, and distribution while ensuring adherence to OEM and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet service and retail demands without overstocking.
  • Monitor fast-, slow-, and non-moving items and plan orders accordingly.
  • Ensure proper binning, labeling, and systematic storage of spare parts.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure zero stock variance.

2. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Place orders with OEMs and approved vendors based on requirements and forecasts.
  • Follow up on pending orders and coordinate for timely delivery.
  • Negotiate pricing, discounts, and payment terms where applicable.

3. Sales & Customer Service

  • Supervise counter sales and ensure efficient service to walk-in and workshop customers.
  • Support Service Department with timely supply of required parts.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure quick resolution.
  • Promote accessories and value-added products to improve sales.

4. Financial & Reporting

  • Monitor parts profitability and achieve monthly sales and margin targets.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock position, sales, and aging.
  • Control expenses and minimize parts obsolescence.

5. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise the parts team, including storekeepers, counter sales executives, and helpers.
  • Conduct regular training on product knowledge, process adherence, and safety.
  • Evaluate team performance and ensure productivity.

6. Process Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all operations comply with manufacturer standards and company SOPs.
  • Maintain proper documentation, GRNs, invoices, and return records.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety, and proper storage conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in parts management in an automobile dealership (OEM experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts catalogues, inventory systems, and DMS.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent inventory and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in DMS, MS Excel, and reporting.
  • Customer-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet targets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
