Description
Role Overview: You will be responsible for overseeing the production of ice creams, gelato, bars, mini bites, macarons, popsicles, choco tacos, and other frozen treats. Your main tasks will include developing and implementing production plans, organizing daily production activities, monitoring ingredient inventory, and leading production teams to meet goals. Additionally, you will be required to ensure facility and equipment maintenance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage compliance and risk, oversee culinary and product development, and provide team leadership and training. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement detailed production plans to meet demand forecasts and ensure timely delivery of targets. - Organize and oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, compliance, and quality standards. - Lead production teams to meet short- and long-term goals. - Monitor ingredient inventory levels and collaborate with the purchase team to order supplies as needed. - Oversee day and night shift operations during busy periods to ensure seamless production. - Analyze production metrics to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective measures. - Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of production equipment and infrastructure. - Ensure compliance with environmental standards and conduct regular facility inspections. - Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to align production capacity with demand planning. - Partner with QA/QC teams to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and internal quality benchmarks. - Troubleshoot production issues and provide hands-on assistance to resolve quality or efficiency concerns. - Maintain a clean and organized production area, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards. - Assist with plant process improvement projects. - Ensure strict compliance with food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO certifications. - Monitor regulatory changes affecting production and procurement, implementing necessary adjustments. - Oversee the production of ice cream and baked goods, lead R&D efforts, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams. - Continually train staff on safety, sanitation, and operational best practices. - Communicate effectively with team members to assign tasks, coordinate workflow, and prioritize production needs. - Identify opportunities for improvement and solutions to correct them within a team-based work environment. - Evaluate team member performance, assist in performance improvement and advancement through effective goal-setting, feedback, and training. - Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among staff members. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 8-10 years in large-scale food production, with at least 5 years in ice cream or baked goods manufacturing in a managerial role. - Degree in culinary arts, food technology, production management, or related fields. - Experience in ice cream processing facility or pastry industry preferred. - Strong understanding of production processes and procedures in food production or manufacturing environment. - In-depth knowledge of ice cream and baked goods production with expertise in food safety standards. - Skilled in managing production workflows, procurement, and facility operations. - Experience in managing inventory on ERP/Software and generating analytical reports. - Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support production schedules and special events.,
