Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Expert to join high performing Global team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in powder metallurgy/ Material Science and a minimum of a B.Tech or BE degree. The primary responsibility of this role is to source diamond, metal powder, forging and steel blanks while ensuring alignment with our material group strategies and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Role:

• Align material group strategies and execute them in Technical Projects (TP) and Time-To-Market (TTM) initiatives.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive material sourcing strategy from the TP stage.
• Reduce dependency on geopolitical risks by developing second sources and other strategic measures.
• Support HQ to create and improve Material group strategy to optimize cost, Supply resilience and Standardization (Ref. Diamonds, Powder, Tubes, Steel and forging)
• Expand Localization ratio.

Tactical Role:

• Integrate all functions to create a pipeline of saving initiatives, ensuring Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) targets are met.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Project management and ownership.

Procurement Role:

• Take ownership of the material sourcing process, from initial supplier identification to final procurement.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Support Warehousing and Material management team is optimizing inventory, Safety stock and Logistics.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Team building and People management skills.
