Lead R&D Engineer Advanced Materials (Alloys Ni, Cr, Ti) We are looking for a talented and motivated R&D Engineer with hands-on experience in the development and characterization of nickel, chromium, and titanium-based alloys . The role is ideal for individuals passionate about materials innovation in sectors such as aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, or Oil & Gas applications. This is a core technical position involving research, experimentation, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to bring novel materials from concept to commercial readiness. Role & responsibilities Design and develop advanced metallic alloys , focusing on Nickel-, Chrome-, and Titanium-based systems for high-performance applications. Conduct metallurgical processing, heat treatment, and failure analysis of alloys. Perform material testing using mechanical, thermal, and corrosion evaluation techniques. Use advanced characterization tools like SEM, EDS, XRD, EBSD, and optical microscopy for microstructure analysis. Maintain and operate lab-scale melting, casting, and powder metallurgy equipment as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality to support product development. Support prototype manufacturing, field trials , and scale-up activities . Prepare technical reports, documentation, and research papers ; contribute to patents or publications. Engage with academic institutions, national labs and industrial partners for collaborative research. Preferred candidate profile B.Tech/ M.Tech / M.E. or Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on alloys. 8+ years of industry or academic R&D experience with Nickel, Chrome, or Titanium alloys.
