Sourcing Manager

Role Summary

The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to support the growth of our new Business Unit within the International division. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in global and domestic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimisation, and supply chain risk management within the manufacturing industry.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the goals of the new Business Unit.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and supplier performance targets.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and subcontracted services required for production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Design to understand material requirements and resolve supply issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.
• Manage supplier relationships to build long-term strategic partnerships.
• Support NPD (New Product Development) teams with supplier inputs on lead time, cost, and feasibility.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives and supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain procurement documentation, ERP records, and compliance with company policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost control.
• Proven track record of developing supply base and achieving cost savings.
• Knowledge of international trade, customs, and logistics is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
