Sommelier

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sommelier to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

• Manage and maintain an extensive knowledge of wine lists, including menu planning and inventory management.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes that pair well with wine.
• Conduct wine tastings and events to promote the hotel's wine program.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guests' requests and resolving issues professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, and wine-making techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
