What you’ll do:

"The data center industry is experiencing rapid growth and technological advancements, driven by the increasing demand for AI, cloud computing, and edge computing solutions. To remain relevant and competitive, Eaton must adopt a systems-based approach and provide comprehensive, unified solutions to our customers. This role will be part of the India Data Center Architecture Team which will play a pivotal role in achieving this by:

  • Driving Innovation and Systems Thinking: The team will lead the design & deployment of next-generation data center solutions, integrating power, cooling, and data transport technologies. This approach is essential for providing modular solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Enhancing Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: By working closely with customers, the team will gather feedback and ensure that our offerings align with market demands.
  • Supporting Key Accounts and Market Drivers: The team will focus on supporting major Indian Hyperscaler, Colo, Enterprise and Government customers. This will enable us to anticipate and meet customer demand, ensuring on-time delivery.
The main responsibility of the Solution Specialist - Datacenter Whitespace is to design and support implementation of data center whitespace solutions for Eaton’s customers."
"• Support Strategic Accounts in India, aiding technical design and positioning Eaton related products in a preferred position
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical and engineering support for the in-house engineering staff and design teams
  • Serve as a technical expert within the Strategic Accounts Team, offering comprehensive support to Sales engineers and account managers for Eaton's whitespace solutions portfolio, including Racks & Accessories, PDU's, Containment solutions, Busways, Conveyance system, Micro Datacenters, Cooling & Airflow solutions.
  • Aid the Strategic Accounts Team on large bids including submittals drawings, technical interpretation, and interfacing with the consultant and owner
  • Arrive at the costing and financial estimation of the proposed solution, and work with the Strategic Accounts team to submit the winning bid while honoring the gross margin expectations of the company.
  • Facilitate technical collaboration between customers and Eaton’s product lines, supporting product innovation and providing design recommendations based on customer needs
  • Conduct product seminars and training on Eaton products and solutions at targeted consultant firms or customers
  • Provide mentoring and training to Strategic Account Sales Engineers, Facility Account Managers, Major Account Managers, and other employees within and outside of the NAS organization
  • Work closely with the field team to arrive at the Root Cause Analysis for problems faced post deployment and work with the product team to have permanent fix for the same."

Qualifications:

Bachelor in Engineering with 10+ years experience
"• 7+ years of experience in Datacenter infrastructure engineering or data center operations, with at least 3 years in a design role


Skills:

  • Proven track record in design, deployment or management of Datacenter whitespace solutions
  • Proven track record in design, deployment, or management of Datacenter Cooling & Airflow solutions
  • Proven track record in design, deployment, or management of Direct to Chip cooling solutions is preferred though not mandatory"
"Ability to interface with electrical consultant principals and lead electrical engineers, as well as facility engineers at data centers
  • Proven capability to find creative solutions to solve complex technical application problems "
"• Problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization, including consultant or end user organizations
  • Presentation and training skills - Initiative and self-management skills
  • Value selling experience."
