Solution Engineer

The Solution Engineering GSC team is an integral part of Maersk's Solutions and Services function- MSS within the Lead Logistics Products Global team. As a Solution Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager/Senior Solution Engineers of the Solution Engineering GSC team and play a crucial role in developing supply chain solutions for Maersk customers. Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with Regional Solution Engineers, Regional opportunity teams, and Regional Implementation teams to directly engage with customer opportunities. You will be tasked with creating Customer Solutions, including a Solution Design Document and Solution Configuration Document (SCD) that serve as a detailed bridge between customers, implementation teams, and CX teams. Additionally, you will be in charge of maintaining the global solutions toolkit and artifacts. As a Solution Engineer within the MSS Global team and GSC, your key responsibilities will include: - Developing Customer Solutions, comprising a Solution Design Document and Solution Configuration Document (SCD) to facilitate seamless communication between customers, implementation teams, and CX teams - Implementing detailed solution designs based on the SCD in collaboration with customers, Maersk LL CIM team, and CX teams - Overseeing the maintenance of the Global Solutions Toolkit To qualify for this role, you should possess: - A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration or a Master's in Supply Chain - 4-7 years of experience in Supply Chain-related, Logistics-related, or SaaS in Supply Chain-related fields, with progressive roles including implementing solutions in an enterprise customer environment as a Business Analyst/Solution Architect Supply Chain consultant Your key responsibilities will involve: - Creating feasible, accurate, competitive, and compelling solution designs that encompass various aspects such as scope of service, operating models, resource models, costs, business value, and more - Crafting financial scenarios and recommending suitable P&L options for quoting and winning opportunities - Demonstrating that our solution is the optimal choice for customers by showcasing its value and minimizing risks - Understanding customers" businesses, diagnosing their supply chains, and identifying challenges and opportunities - Collaborating with experienced colleagues to implement solutions within customer projects, managing the solution from design workshops to final approval - Aligning customers" existing processes, organization, and technology with Maersk solutions to deliver measurable business value - Maintaining the Global Solutions toolkit and artifacts - Collaborating with Heads of Solutions and Services departments to support day-to-day operations Your experience and skills should include: - Proficiency in Supply Chain Management practices, Supply Chain strategies, and industry best practices - Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, and/or other ERP systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset - Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field; a Master's degree in Supply Chain is advantageous - Previous experience in software implementation using an SDLC model - Excellent English communication skills (oral, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills - Structured and organized work approach - Process-oriented and solution-focused problem-solving abilities with attention to detail - Proficiency in stakeholder management and influencing skills,
