Solution Engineer

As a HVDC Engineering specialist at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for the technical preparation of main circuit parameters and power system studies for HVDC Substations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Overall technical responsibility for preparing main circuit parameters and associated power system studies for HVDC Substations - Preparation of technical parameters of tender documents for high voltage equipment - Providing technical support to the sales department and project management for HV Equipment and complete Basic design of HVDC projects - Internal project supervision including timelines, costs, and quality - Active participation in technical decisions in coordination with the project manager and technical project manager - Regular sub-project reports, meetings to discuss project progress, and constant monitoring of project landmarks - Identifying and evaluating risks and opportunities within projects, and proposing suggestions to minimize risks and maximize benefits To qualify for this role, you should have: - 7-15 years of experience in HVDC Engineering - Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or relevant field - Excellent knowledge of Power System studies tools, requirement analysis, and power system modeling - Proficiency in LV Breaker study, Relay coordination, and Protection scheme validation - Experience in high voltage projects including concept design, modeling, testing, and acceptance - Expertise in power system analysis packages like PSSE, PSCAD, MEATHEAD, and MATLAB - Strong understanding of HVDC technologies, main circuit parameters calculation, Insulation coordination, and fault scenarios Siemens Energy is dedicated to decarbonizing the industrial sector and enabling the transition to sustainable processes.
