Job Description Summary for Transformer Design Engineer- Company: RISHAB INDUSTRIES, Bhosari, Pune Position: Transformer Design Engineer No. of Positions: One Department: Engineering / Product Development Job Location: Bhosari, Pune Joining: Immediate Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in transformer design (preferably with exposure to both dry-type / K rated and oil-filled transformers). Qualification: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent CTC: Dependent on interview Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems of, dry-type or cast resin isolation /power transformers (up to [2500 KVA]). Perform core loss, winding loss, impedance, no-load/load loss, temperature rise , and other key electrical calculations. Create electrical design documentation , including design sheets, connection diagrams, vector groups, and wiring schematics. Select appropriate winding configurations, insulation levels , and tap changer specifications . Ensure compliance with relevant international and local standards (IEC, IS, ANSI, IEEE, etc.). Coordinate with mechanical design , manufacturing , and testing teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy. Provide support during factory acceptance testing (FAT) and resolve any design-related issues. Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical datasheets. Engage in continuous design improvement for performance enhancement and cost optimization. Participate in customer meetings and support tendering/sales with technical inputs when required. Skills Required: Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEMM, ANSYS, Maxwell ) for magnetic and thermal analysis. Knowledge of short-circuit forces, insulation coordination , and dielectric design . Experience with ERP systems for BOM integration. Exposure to customer specifications, tender documentation, and proposal engineering. Additional Requirements: Languages: English, Hindi, Marathi.
