As an HVDC Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of main circuit parameters and power system studies for HVDC Substations. Your responsibilities will include technical support for high voltage equipment tender documents, basic design of HVDC projects, and internal project supervision to ensure timelines, costs, and quality are met. You will actively participate in technical decisions, sub project reports, and project progress meetings while identifying and evaluating risks and opportunities within projects. To excel in this role, you are required to have 7-15 years of experience in HVDC Engineering with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering. Your expertise should include knowledge of Power System studies tools, LV Breaker study, relay co-ordination, protection scheme validation, and proficiency in power system analysis packages such as PSSE, PSCAD, MEATHEAD, and MATLAB. You should also have a solid understanding of HVDC technologies, main circuit parameters calculation, insulation co-ordination, transient stress, and fault scenarios.
