Role Overview: This role, based in Pune with opportunities to travel to different locations in India and beyond, offers you the chance to collaborate with teams that are making a significant impact on cities, countries, and the future. Key Responsibilities: - Enhance competitiveness and profitability of Siemens Energy business through innovative Cost and Value Engineering methods such as TcPCM, aPriori, and other tools for Should Costing, MLPP, CBD. Ensure cost transparency for third-party scopes. - Support the Design-to-Cost (DtC) or R&D Product Development Process (PDP) to ensure new products are designed efficiently while meeting quality targets. Tasks include creating efficiency projects, leading innovation teams, guiding design for manufacturing methodology, and conducting voice of the customer analysis. - Conduct should cost analysis and assess full supplier offers to identify the most cost-effective solutions. - Generate and gather new cost-out ideas for the Siemens Energy portfolio, engaging in cross-functional workshops. - Ensure that product Cost Value Engineering (CVE) initiatives are accurately recorded and monitored in the relevant product cost tracking software (PRIOneer). - Assist proposal teams in considering all relevant cost measures to ensure the most efficient solutions are proposed. - Facilitate and participate in meetings at various management levels, including the executive leadership team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's in Electronics (preferred) or Electrical Engineering. - Minimum 5 years of experience in roles like Application Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Cost Engineer, focusing on high voltage battery storage systems, electronics components, EV battery components, or BMS (battery management systems). - Demonstrated dedication, proactivity, and willingness to go the extra mile. - Expertise in electronics, electrical systems, battery storage, EV components, and BMS. - Strong understanding of how design, technical decisions, automation, sourcing, and logistics impact cost and schedule. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite. - Knowledge in Innovative Design to Value, DtC, Customer Value, and Cost Analysis.
