Cost Value Engineering Expert - Electronics

As an Application Engineer at Siemens Energy, your role will involve working on improving competitiveness and profitability through the implementation of innovative Cost and Value Engineering methods. You will be responsible for achieving cost transparency for 3rd party scopes and supporting the overall Design-to-Cost (DtC) or R&D Product Development Process to ensure new products are designed efficiently while meeting quality targets. Your key responsibilities include: - Implementing Cost and Value Engineering methods such as TcPCM, aPriori, and other tools for Should Costing, MLPP, CBD - Providing cost transparency for 3rd party scopes - Supporting the Design-to-Cost process and ensuring new products are designed efficiently - Leading efficiency projects, innovation teams, and design for manufacturing methodology - Conducting voice of the customer analysis - Delivering should cost analysis and assessing full supplier offers to find the most cost-effective solutions - Generating new cost-out ideas for the portfolio - Ensuring accurate input of product CVE initiatives in relevant cost tracking software - Supporting proposal teams in considering cost measures for efficient solutions - Participating in and facilitating meetings at all levels of management Qualifications required for this role include: - BE in Electronics (preferred) or BE in Electrical - Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles like Application Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, or Cost Engineer related to high voltage battery storage systems, electronics components, EV battery components, or BMS - Proven understanding of design, technical, automation, sourcing, and logistics decisions affecting cost and schedule - Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Knowledge in Innovative Design to Value, DtC, Customer Value, and Cost Analysis About Siemens Energy: Siemens Energy is a global energy technology company with a commitment to developing sustainable energy systems for the future.
