Solid & Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) Expert – Swachh Survekshan 2025–26 (SBM-U)
Engagement: Contractual (Survey Agency)Reporting: Team Lead (Technical) / National PMLocation: Pan-India travel (ULBs/Cantonment Boards)Role ObjectiveProvide technical support for on-field validation and assessment of solid and liquid waste management indicators and processing facilities under Swachh Survekshan 2025–26, ensuring objective verification, geo-tagged evidence capture, portal-based reporting, and quality compliance.Key Responsibilities• Interpret SS 2025–26 toolkit and prepare SLWM checklists/assessment protocols for field teams.• Validate service level progress (SLP) through field visits; ensure ward-level sample coverage as per toolkit.• Assess all SWM & liquid waste processing facilities/plants listed in ULB MIS (operational status, O&M, compliance, performance evidence).• Capture geo-tagged photos/videos and upload real-time data through MoHUA portal/app; support citizen interactions where required.• Support documentation verification, gap identification, and city-wise technical inputs for scoring, summaries, and reports.• Coordinate with QC team for real-time data checks; support audits/cross-validation observations.Qualification (Mandatory)• Graduation + Master’s in Environmental/Civil/Public Health Engineering, Environmental Management, Waste Management, Urban Infrastructure, or related field.Experience (Mandatory)• Minimum 8 years in SWM/LWM/FSM projects, audits, or assessments, with exposure to ULB operations and processing facilities.Skills• Strong knowledge of SLWM systems and typical compliance parameters; excellent documentation; comfortable with mobile/web survey tools; high integrity and willingness to travel.Note on Engagement• The engagement of the Solid & Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) Expert shall commence only after award of work/issuance of Letter of Award (LoA) to the Agency by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The position is co-terminus with the project duration and subject to project timelines and requirements.
