Solar Technical Head

About the Role

Soltrac Power is looking for an experienced and visionary Solar Technical Head to lead all technical aspects of our solar projects—from design and engineering to execution and commissioning. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and guide technical teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective solar energy solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the technical department for both rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
• Develop engineering standards, design guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Evaluate new solar technologies, products, and solutions for implementation.
• Provide technical inputs during project planning, feasibility studies, and proposals.

Project Design & Engineering

• Oversee system design, layout, and engineering drawings using industry-standard tools (AutoCAD, PVsyst, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs to optimize efficiency, cost, and performance.

Project Execution & Quality Control

• Guide site teams during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site support when required.
• Establish quality assurance protocols for materials, installation, and workmanship.

Team & Vendor Coordination

• Mentor and train engineers, technicians, and site staff on best practices.
• Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of technical requirements.
• Verify and approve vendor technical documents and material specifications.

Performance Monitoring

• Oversee post-installation performance analysis and O&M activities.
• Suggest improvements and upgrades to enhance project performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and project records.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the solar industry with proven leadership in technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, mounting structures, and BOS components.
• Proficiency in design and simulation software (PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of MNRE, IEC, and DISCOM standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
