Role Overview

Solar Performance Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Real-Time Monitoring:

• Monitor the performance of solar plants across multiple locations through GRACC using SCADA, IoT dashboards, and performance analytics platforms.

• Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of energy yield, CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor), PR (Performance Ratio), inverter efficiency, and grid availability.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports with actionable insights.

• Root Cause Analysis:

• Investigate underperformance issues such as equipment faults, grid fluctuations, or environmental constraints and recommend corrective actions.

• Performance Optimization:

• Collaborate with field O&M teams and asset managers to implement performance improvement measures and track their effectiveness.

• Benchmarking & Forecasting:

• Benchmark asset performance against industry standards and internal KPIs.

• Assist in energy forecasting, loss analysis, and predictive maintenance planning.

• Data Management & Visualization:

• Use tools like Power BI, Looker Studio, or other visualization platforms for effective performance presentations and dashboards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering disciplines. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience:

  1–3 years of experience in solar performance analysis, renewable energy analytics, or similar roles. Freshers with strong analytical skills can also apply.

• Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of solar PV technology, SCADA systems, and asset management platforms.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, data analytics tools (Power BI, Python/R basics preferred).
• Familiarity with IEC standards for solar performance assessment.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
