Quark Solar Pvt Ltd is a solar energy company based in Mumbai. Since its inception in 2010, the company has focused on the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) of battery-based solar rooftops. Over time, Quark Solar has transitioned into larger industrial and commercial rooftop projects, including MW-scale and ground-mount projects across India. The company offers solar projects under various models, including CAPEX, OPEX, and EMI. The Solar O&M Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of solar power plants rooftop and - or ground-mounted. The role involves ensuring maximum plant uptime, safety compliance, and effective management of O&M activities to deliver reliable and efficient plant performance.Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Maintenance
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of solar plants, including inverters, modules, DC, AC systems, and associated equipment. Monitor plant performance through SCADA monitoring platforms and ensure prompt action on deviations. Conduct fault finding, root cause analysis RCA, and corrective actions to minimize downtime. Schedule and supervise cleaning activities of solar modules to maintain performance ratio PR.2. Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and repair system faults at the module, string, inverter, and grid level. Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for warranty claims and technical support. Replace defective components like fuses, breakers, DC cables, and inverters when required.3. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance, breakdowns, and maintenance activities. Maintain service logs, inspection checklists, and compliance documents. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. Implement and enforce site safety protocols, PPE usage, and hazard identification. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.5. Client & Vendor Coordination
Communicate effectively with clients regarding plant performance, issues, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repair works, procurement, and service support.RequirementsEducational Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering.Experience:
1–5 years of experience in solar O&M (rooftop or ground-mounted).Hands-on experience with solar inverters, DC/AC systems, and monitoring tools.Technical Skills:
Knowledge of solar plant components and their operation.Expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems and inverters.Familiarity with SCADA/remote monitoring software.Understanding of safety procedures and statutory compliance requirements.Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and reporting skills.Ability to work independently and manage teams at site level.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Plant uptime percentage and energy yield.Reduction in breakdown frequency and downtime.Timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules.Accuracy and timeliness of reporting.Compliance with safety and statutory norms.Work Environment:
