Job Description

The Solar Expert will be responsible for the on-ground execution, technical support, and maintenance of solar PV systems, particularly in rooftop and small-scale ground-mount installations. The role requires strong practical skills, system knowledge, and the ability to resolve site-level technical challenges independently. You will support the Solar Manager in delivering projects with high technical accuracy and reliability. 1. Site Execution & Technical Work Carry out installation of solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cabling, and earthing systems. Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to electrical safety standards during installation. Read and interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layout plans. 2. System Commissioning Conduct system testing, inverter configuration, and final commissioning. Ensure performance metrics meet the design expectations before handover. 3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform periodic maintenance of installed systems. Identify and resolve system issues such as inverter errors, cable faults, or panel inefficiencies. Support O&M (Operations & Maintenance) activities for existing projects. 4. Site Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily work logs, site inspection checklists, and commissioning reports. Report progress, technical issues, and site conditions to the Solar Manager. 5. Safety & Compliance Ensure 100% compliance with workplace safety standards during all site activities. Use appropriate PPE and enforce safety practices among the on-ground team.
